User experience (UX) design is the process used by design teams to create products, digital or physical, that provide practical and relevant experiences to users. The key elements of UX design are value, general impression, usability and function.
A UX designer designs for the user experience creating a product that will be focused in improving end-user needs leveraging on emotions and functional needs. The work scope and responsibilities of a UX designer may vary in different companies and sectors.
UX design is increasingly becoming a priority in various businesses who are seeking skilled workers possessing a strong understanding of the concept of user design and its impact in the personal and professional spectrum.

Individuals under the Career Conversion Programme for Tech Professionals – Product Manager.
Participants should be prepared to dedicate nine days, spread across a month, to complete the course curriculum. No prerequisite knowledge of UI/UX design is required.

What you will need :
For this course, you will primarily communicate with course instructors and group members through online meetings. You are also expected to download specific online software necessary for your coursework. You will need:
A working computer with internet access and a microphone.
Availability in your schedule to actively participate in lessons and meetings.
Any paid software required for the course will be provided and covered.
COURSE OUTLINE
User Experience Fundamentals
User Experience Design is a human-centric approach towards products and services. Explore and understand how User Experience is one of the key driving factors for business success, and how it can support digital transformation for organisations regardless of scale.
Graduate Competency
Key assessments will be conducted at the end of the course to ensure that all participants have achieved the required competency level.
Those who pass receive a WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA) issued by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).
LEARNING OUTCOME
By the end of this course, you will be able to
Describe competitor, consumer, and technology trends in relation to the product.
Manage the lifecycle of a product and tracking of consumer response.
Apply the set of direction and guidelines to develop a product requirement document.
Analyse trends in product performance to propose improvements to the product.
Facilitate the transition of product.
Implement usability tests on software updates or modifications to evaluate effectiveness.
Develop sales and marketing activities aligned with product strategy.
COURSE DETAILS
Mode of Delivery
All lessons are conducted online in a structured yet pragmatic manner as course delivery is blended with lectures, case studies and individual assessments.
Duration
Total: 41.5 hour
38 hours of synchronous e-learning, conducted over a duration of 2 weeks, an
3.5 hours of assessment which includes 0.5 hours of oral questioning and 3 hours of written assessment with case study provided by CuriousCore.
Course completion requirement
Learners who fulfil all requirements and complete the course with at least 75% attendance and demonstrate competency during assessment will receive the WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA) issued by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).
