Overview

IES INCA is partnering SGInnovate to bring these critical core skills training to the Deep Tech Community. Technopreneurs need a diverse set of skills to cover the various aspects of running a business, this series aims to equip Founders with a good variety of these skills on a modular arrangement.

Technopreneur Critical Core Skills Series
Critical Thinking for Engineers is delivered by IES INCA and co-marketed by SGInnovate.

Established as an essential skill in the 21st Century, Critical Thinking is ever more important to our work as Engineers, Technopreneurs, Chief Technology Officers (CTO) in navigating the complex world where we are given multiple sources of information to analyse. 

Introduction
The world is changing and changing fast, resulting in high volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity throughout the world in unexpected ways. How should we deal with the current challenges? One way for Engineers to respond is to proactively embrace critical thinking to gain insight and foresight in order to enhance problem solving and decision making as well as to innovate and collaborate to meet changing market needs is the key to survive and grow in this era. 

During this workshop, you will discover that they have the capacity to enhance their thinking process based on Critical Thinking methodology and apply the learning to develop robust solutions to the problems they face in the Engineering and Technology industry. 

Delivered by one of our professional trainers with substantial experiences in thinking skills, the participants are expected to walk away with a good understanding of how they could apply Critical Thinking skills at work.

  • To enable Engineers and Engineering Leaders to understand their habitual thinking and mental blocks that may be preventing them to think effectively

Course Outline
Understanding critical thinking framework and applying critical thinking to evaluate information for insights and improvement in engineering processes and businesses
Understand mental blocks and how to overcome them so as to become more creative and critical in looking at engineering and business issues
Organisze information and collaborate effectively both in engineering and business for effective problem solving and decision making
