Ms. Iris Tan, Senior Assistant Director, SingHealth AI Office
Ms. Iris Tan

Ms. Iris Tan is the Senior Assistant Director at the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Office, SingHealth, where she drives the strategy, operations, and regulation and governance of AI across Singapore’s largest public healthcare cluster. She leads the development and implementation of policies, frameworks, and operational oversight to ensure the safe, responsible, and scalable adoption of AI in healthcare. In her position, she works closely with clinicians, AI scientists, and industry stakeholders to translate AI innovations from concept to real-world clinical deployment. By aligning strategic resources, she supports AI solution development in healthcare, bridging the gap from bench to bedside, with a strong focus on safe, responsible, and scalable adoption.

Hugh Mason, Entrepreneur, -
Hugh Mason

Mr. Hugh is an entrepreneur, now focused on health care, with a demonstrated history of successfully building and backing 70+ new ventures valued at $450m+ with 29% IRR. He teaches at Duke-NUS Medical School on the Health Innovator Program, at NTU on multiple innovation and entrepreneurship courses, and at NUS with National GRIP, NUS Enterprise, and the Distinguished Scholars Fellowship Programs. After starting his career as a research engineer with GEC-Marconi, he became an award-winning science film-maker with BBC, National Geographic and Discovery Channel. Mr. Hugh has been a permanent resident of Singapore since 2009 and is recognised for co-founding Southeast Asia's first startup accelerator, JFDI.Asia. He is also a PhD Candidate at the University of Canberra.
