Ronne Yeo, Head, Venture Relations, JLABS Singapore, Johnson & Johnson
As Head of Venture Relations, Ronne will provide coaching and guidance to JLABS Singapore's portfolio of companies. This involves preparing residents for investment opportunities, negotiation processes, and the overall development of their companies and technologies. Ronne was formerly a biotech investor with a track record of creating and growing biotech companies. He joined EVX Ventures (formerly Esco Ventures) in 2016 and was promoted to Managing Director, where he sourced investment opportunities and oversaw its biotech portfolio. During his tenure, Ronne co-founded two biotech companies in cell and gene therapy that have collectively raised over USD40 million to date. Ronne holds a BSc in Biological Sciences from Nanyang Technological University and a PhD from National University of Singapore.

As VP JLABS Asia Pacific, Sharon drives the long-term growth strategy and plan for JLABS in the region, overseeing JLABS Singapore and JLABS @ Shanghai. With a commitment to Credo-based leadership, she is recognized for her agility and caring mindset in driving innovation strategy. Sharon's extensive international experience spans over 20 years, including roles with Sosei-Hepatares, Baxter, and Aeras. Notably, she was recognized as one of the Top Women in Science & Technology by Forbes China in 2020 and honored with a Social Impact Leadership Award by Serica in 2021. Sharon holds multiple degrees from renowned institutions, including Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, IE Business School, and the University of Oxford.

Kan Chen, Partner, Qiming Venture Partners
Kan Chen is a Partner of Qiming Venture Partners, focusing on healthcare investment. Before joining Qiming Venture Partners, Kan was a senior scientist at Johnson & Johnson discovering innovative cancer medicine. Prior to that, Kan was a group leader at Jiangsu Hengrui Medicine, developing new cancer immunotherapies. Kan earned his PhD degree in Cell Biology from Case Western Reserve University in the U.S. and finished his postdoctoral training in Immunology at Harvard Medical School. He got his bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from Fudan University.

Ghee Chuan Lai, Associate, Qiming Venture Partners
Ghee Chuan operates from Qiming Venture Partners’ Singapore office, where he supports healthcare investment and portfolio management in APAC outside of China. Prior to joining Qiming, Ghee Chuan was an innovation head at the Agency of Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), supporting spinoffs and working closely with large multinational companies, start-ups, academic and clinical institutions and other public agencies to structure R&D investments, clinical partnerships and out-licensing transactions in Singapore. In response to the nationwide effort against COVID-19, he had coordinated multiple diagnostics, therapeutics and infrastructure workstreams to develop rapid and reliable diagnostic kits, point of care testing solutions and potential therapeutic interventions, and was awarded a Commendation Medal for his efforts. Ghee Chuan holds a BSc in Chemistry and Biological Chemistry from the University of Chicago, and a PhD in Chemical Physics from Harvard University.

Sean Lin, Founder and CEO , ChemLex
Dr. Sean Lin obtained his PhD in material science from Imperial College London and MBA degree from MIT in the US. He has years of drug R&D management at a pharmaceutical company and investment at a life-science focused PE firm. Sean founded ChemLex with his co-founders in 2021 and recently closed seed series (USD$4.5 Mn) and Series A (USD$26 Mn, co-lead by Qiming and LYFE) fundraising.
