Overview
A hands-on weekend AI camp in Singapore where children aged 6–10 turn an everyday idea into a real AI product they can build, test, and explain — designed for Singapore MOE students and international/expat families alike.
Children learn to communicate ideas clearly, collaborate with peers, and build a working prototype using Google AI Studio and Lovable — supported by AI mentors with coding, product, and engineering backgrounds. The camp is designed to be equally accessible to families new to Singapore and to those following the MOE curriculum, with no prior coding experience needed.
The camp is run by Assel Mussagaliyeva-Tang, Founder of EDUTech Future, International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Academy trainer and partner (Geneva, Switzerland), Ministry of Education Singapore School-Industry Partner, and Affiliate Faculty in AI and Digital Transformation at Singapore Management University (SMU). She has trained 3,150+ learners across 12 countries in 29 months and brings direct expertise in AI governance, responsible AI, and generative AI upskilling across 13 verified industry use cases.

Learning Outcomes
Communicate ideas clearly through prompts, short write-ups, and presentations
Collaborate with peers by testing, improving, and giving feedback on AI builds
Build a real prototype (e.g. AI Study Coach, AI Time Planner, AI Hobby Buddy) and present it to an industry jury
Learn the basics of AI "vibe coding" — interface logic and prompt-to-product design

Meet the Trainer
Assel Mussagaliyeva-Tang, Founder, EDUTech Future — ITU Academy AI trainer, MOE Singapore School-Industry Partner, SMU Affiliate Faculty, 2025 Women in AI Fellow (EDSAFE Alliance). Assel brings a multicultural, multilingual lens to her programmes, having worked across Singapore, Kazakhstan, and 12 countries globally.

Associate Professor Jamus Lim, ESSEC Business School, joins as a special guest for a welcome note and fireside chat on responsible AI for children — speaking in his personal capacity as a father. His session brings a parent's perspective to the same responsible-AI principles children explore hands-on throughout the camp.

Assel Mussagaliyeva-Tang, Founder and GenAI Educator, EDUTech Future
Assel is the Founder or EDUTech Future, a Singapore edtech startup bridging the AI Skills-to-Jobs gap through practical, human-centered learning. A generative AI educator, certified gamified curriculum designer, career coach, and AI for Good practitioner, she designs industry use cases and programmes that help children, youth, and global professionals build digital capability and the critical human skills to thrive in the age of AI. She led future-ready skills and employability initiatives across 10 APAC markets in Microsoft, and contributed to education, social impact, and digital transformation and AI programs at the International Telecommunication Union, Singapore Management University, BCG, World Bank, and the WHO. She is an EDSAFE Women in AI Fellow 2025, and an MoE SG School-Industry Partner. Since 2023, Assel has trained 3,150 learners and created Kids AI Camps, where children explore AI through real industry exposure, ethical reflection, hackathons, and human-centred design.

Jamus Lim, Associate Professor (guest speaker on "Responsible Tech for Children"), ESSEC Business School
*Joining in his role as a parent Jamus is an associate professor in the Economics Department at the Asia-Pacific campus of ESSEC Business School, and serves as a member of Singapore's 15th Parliament, representing the constituency of Anchorvale in Sengkang. Previously, he was the chief economist of ThirdRock Group, an independent investment advisory. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the Safra Research Lab at Harvard, and a summer fellow at the Center on Democracy, Development, and the Rule of Law at Stanford. Prior to that, he earned a doctorate in international economics at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and master's degrees in economics at London School of Economics, as well as history at Harvard. His career path includes the strategy unit of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, the development economics group at the World Bank, economics department at Centre College, regional economic studies at the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies, and the former J.P. Morgan.
