Course Objectives

After completing this ISC2 CISSP course, the student will be able to: 

  • Apply fundamental concepts and methods related to the fields of information technology and security.

  • Align overall organisational operational goals with security functions and implementations.

  • Determine how to protect assets of the organisation as they go through their lifecycle.

  • Leverage the concepts, principles, structures, and standards used to design, implement, monitor, and secure operating systems, equipment, networks, applications, and those controls used to enforce various levels of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

  • Apply security design principles to select appropriate mitigations for vulnerabilities present in common information system types and architectures.

  • Explain the importance of cryptography and the security services it can provide in today’s digital and information age.

  • Evaluate physical security elements relative to information security needs.

  • Evaluate the elements that comprise communication and network security relative to information security needs.

  • Leverage the concepts and architecture that define the associated technology and implementation systems and protocols at Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model layers 1–7 to meet information security needs.

  • Determine appropriate access control models to meet business security requirements.

  • Apply physical and logical access controls to meet information security needs.

  • Differentiate between primary methods for designing and validating test and audit strategies that support information security requirements.

  • Upon meeting at least 75% attendance and passing the assessment(s), participants will receive a Certificate of Completion from NTUC LearningHub

Statement of Attainment (SOA) from SkillsFuture Singapore

  • Upon meeting at least 75% attendance and passing the assessment(s), participants will receive a SOA from SkillsFuture Singapore to certify that the participant has achieved the following Competency Standard(s):

    • ICT-SNA-4020-1.1 Security Governance

External Certification

After completing this course and upon passing the official “Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)” certification exam, candidates will receive the official certification from International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC2). The certification is governed and maintained by ISC2.

ISC2 CISSP Certification Exam Fee

The course fee does not include the CISSP Certification exam fee for trainees who attend and complete the CISSP - ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (SF) course with NTUC LearningHub.

Please note that it is not mandatory for participants attending the "CISSP - ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (SF)" course to pay for the official certification exam before the commencement of the class.

For subsequent exam attempts, the CISSP Certification exam voucher can be purchased at the full fee from our Exam e-shop.

Exam duration: 3 hours, 180 minutes to complete the exam, closed book

Exam format: 100-150 questions, Multiple choice and advanced innovative items

Passing score: 700 out of 1000 points

Testing centre: ISC2 Authorised PPC and PVTC Select Pearson VUE Testing Centres

You will be awarded with the following digital badge(s) upon passing the CISSP® Certification exam

Hardware & Software:

  • The Live Online Class for this course will be conducted via the Zoom platform.

  • Participants taking the Live Online Class must own a Zoom account and have a laptop or a desktop with “Zoom Client for Meetings” installed. Download from zoom.us/download and make sure the device requirements are met.

Good-to-have:

  • Wired internet connection: Wired internet will provide you with stable and reliable connection.

  • Dual monitors: Using a dual monitor setup will improve your training experience, enabling you to participate in hands-on exercises and maintain engagement with your instructor.

Not recommended:

  • Using tablets is not recommended due to smaller screen size, which could cause eye strain and discomfort during the program.
