Overview

The CCOA course is an intensive program designed to prepare you for the Certified Cybersecurity Operations Analyst™ (CCOA™) exam. The course focuses on developing the practical, technical skills crucial for today’s cybersecurity landscape, bridging the gap between knowledge and real-world application.

You’ll gain expertise in evaluating threats, identifying vulnerabilities, recommending countermeasures, and managing cyber incidents, all aligned with the CCOA Review Manual. This certification is highly valued by employers, recognising professionals who can confidently defend against evolving cyber risks.

Course Description & Learning Outcomes

The CCOA Exam Preparation Course covers the following topics:

  • General Examination Information

    ○ Domain 1: Technology Essentials (25%)

    ○ Domain 2: Cybersecurity Principles and Risk (20%)

    ○ Domain 3: Adversarial Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (10%)

    ○ Domain 4: Incident Detection and Response (34%)

    ○ Domain 5: Securing Assets (11%)

  • Examination Practice

By completing this course, the following Learning Outcomes (LO) will be achieved:

  • LO1: Implement security programmes by performing administrative and technical processes

  • LO2: Revise security administration plans and personnel to keep up with emerging cybersecurity policies and security threats

  • LO3: Formulate the installation of hardware, software and operating systems to mitigate security threats

  • LO4: Oversee the conformance of security administrative processes according to internal protocols

  • LO5: Set up access control mechanisms to align with organizational policies and procedures, key principles of user access management and control 

  • LO6: Promote access control awareness and understanding of implications across the organization 

  • LO7: Establish security monitoring and control over user access activities

  • LO8: Comply with organizational standards and procedures when allocating role-based access requests

  • LO9: Diagnose security breaches and recommend follow-up actions
