Hosted by the British Chambers of Commerce and SGInnovate, and supported by the British High Commission in Singapore, this event kicks off the Singapore leg of the inaugural British Chambers of Commerce Life Sciences Trade Accelerator — a programme supporting ten high-potential UK Life Sciences companies as they explore long-term partnerships and commercial opportunities across Singapore and Southeast Asia. The cohort spans medtech, pharma, digital health, and diagnostics.

Dr Lim Jui, CEO, SGInnovate
As CEO of SGInnovate, Dr Lim Jui leads the organisation's mission to build a new economy around Deep Tech startups. He and his team work closely with universities, research institutes, and a wide range of partners and co-investors to back entrepreneurial scientists solving global challenges through research-based solutions — via equity-based investments, access to the Deep Tech ecosystem and talent network, and business-building support. Though trained in medicine, Jui spent most of his career in the business of science and innovation. He was Director of Investments at Bio*One Capital; CEO of Merlin MD, a medical device company; Executive Director of the Medical Engineering Research and Commercialisation Initiative (MERCI) at NUS; and Programme Director of the Singapore-Stanford Biodesign Programme (SSB). Before SGInnovate, he was CEO of NTUitive, NTU's innovation and enterprise company.

Nadya Kelly, Science and Technology Regional Director for South East Asia, British High Commission Singapore
Nadya Kelly is the Interim Regional Director for the UK Science and Technology Network (STN) in South East Asia, based at the British High Commission in Singapore. She leads the UK's science and technology engagement across the region, working with governments, researchers, innovators and businesses to strengthen international collaboration and support innovation-led growth. Prior to taking up this role, Nadya served as Head of US Policy and Delivery at the UK's Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT), where she led work on the UK's science and technology relationship with the United States. Her work included coordinating policy negotiations on the UK–US Technology Prosperity Deal and shaping UK approaches to research, innovation, emerging technologies and economic growth. She has extensive experience representing the UK internationally and building partnerships across government, academia and industry.

Dr Yen Choo, Associate Professor of Stem Cell Science and Regenerative Medicine at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and Executive Director, co11ab
Yen Choo obtained a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Cambridge and worked at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology with Nobel laureate Sir Aaron Klug. In Singapore he is Associate Professor of Stem Cell Science and Regenerative Medicine at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKC Medicine), a joint medical school of NTU and Imperial College London. He is also Executive Director of co11ab, a biomedtech incubator jointly founded by NTU, A*STAR and NHG.Assoc. Prof. Choo is a serial bioentrepreneur with over 25 years of C-level and Board experience in establishing early-stage biotechnology ventures. He was the founder and CSO of Gendaq, the biotechnology company that developed the zinc finger DNA-binding technology used for gene editing (acquired by Sangamo Therapeutics). He was the founder and CEO of Plasticell, one of the UK’s pioneering advanced therapy companies based on combinatorial stem cell screening technologies and also the CEO of Progenitor Therapeutics.
