Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Scientist to join our Discovery Research team in Singapore. The candidate will work with the Senior Scientist to evaluate vaccine candidates under the CEPI grant and participate in other research activities and duties. You will be part of a dynamic and multidisciplinary team. The Scientist will contribute to experimental design, independently conduct research activities, and ensure the accuracy and reproducibility of results.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in immunology, infectious disease or cancer biology, demonstrate high professional conduct and scientific integrity, and possess excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Experience with mouse handling is a must. Experience with vaccine development or multi-parameter flow cytometry is highly advantageous.
Roles and Responsibility
- In vivo evaluation of ACM’s vaccines and therapeutics in mice.
- Administer test materials by different routes (IM, SC, IV, IP, IN, IT).
- Blood collection by submandibular puncture and evaluate immune parameters by ELISA.
- Organ harvest and dissociation into single cells for immunophenotyping by flow cytometry.
- In-life imaging using IVIS.
- Perform cell culture and in vitro transfection of primary cells and cell lines.
- Develop and optimize protocols for new and existing assays.
- Draft SOPs
- Collect, critically analyze and interpret experimental data in a timely manner.
- Well-versed in the use of GraphPad Prism software and its statistical tools.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments and results in laboratory notebooks and electronic databases.
- Generate accurate and detailed written reports of experiments that may be used for patents, IND filing, collaborations or publications.
- Become a domain expert through constant survey of literature and attendance of seminars and conferences.
- Mentor internship students
