Description
About Axcynsis Therapeutics
Axcynsis Therapeutics is a platform-based biotechnology company focussed on the development of antibody drug conjugate (ADC) therapies to revolutionise cancer treatments. Leveraging on proprietary technologies, we are developing a robust pipeline of ADC candidates with the potential to address unmet needs for new treatment options.
We are seeking a talented and motivated researcher to join our R&D team in Singapore.
Responsibilities
Experimental Design and Execution:
- Plan, design, and conduct experiments related to antibody discovery, including immunisation strategies, hybridoma generation, phage display, yeast display and molecular cloning.
- Perform hands-on laboratory work, including sample preparation, cell culture, immunisations, and antibody screening.
Antibody Screening and Characterisation:
- Develop and optimise high-throughput screening assays to identify antibodies with desired properties such as specificity, affinity, and functionality.
- Conduct antibody characterisation assays, such as ELISA, Western blot, flow cytometry, and functional assays.
Antibody engineering:
- Employ protein engineering techniques to optimise antibodies, improving their affinity, stability and pharmacokinetic properties.
Data Analysis and Documentation:
- Analyse experimental data using appropriate statistical methods and software tools.
- Maintain detailed and accurate laboratory notebooks, experiment records, and electronic databases.
- Prepare reports, summaries, and presentations for team meetings and project updates.
Innovation and Problem Solving:
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in antibody discovery techniques and propose innovative approaches to enhance the efficiency and success of the research.
Laboratory Management:
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper functioning. Troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance when necessary.
- Manage and order laboratory supplies to ensure smooth workflow.
Job Requirements
- PhD or Master’s degree in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with antibody discovery techniques such as hybridoma generation, phage display, or related methodologies.
- Proficiency in molecular and cell biology techniques.
- Familiarity with protein expression techniques like mammalian and bacterial protein expression and purification. Protein analysis techniques such as ELISA, Western blot, and flow cytometry is desirable.
- Strong data analysis skills using software tools like Excel, GraphPad Prism, or similar.
