Project role: Application Engineer (Hardware and Innovation)

Factorem is looking for an independent go-getter passionate about delivering impactful solutions to our users and problem-solving in both technical and non-technical aspects. Given the lean team, the Trainee can expect to interact directly with experts from other domains (Engineering, Product, Business Development, etc).

The Trainee will play a key role in streamlining engineering operations and establishing scalable processes to create the next groundbreaking solution for the future of manufacturing parts.

Responsibilities:

• Part verification, drawing generation and providing technical support to Factorem’s customers.
• Understand intricacies of 3D/2D design files and how they translate to fabrication for various technologies ranging from CNC Machining, Sheet Metal Fabrication and 3D Printing.
• Continually work to improve and streamline company operations and processes.
• Manage and execute the end-to-end order fulfilment process, including presentations, negotiation and deal closure with assigned client accounts.
• Perform on-site visit with clients to deeply understand their needs and identify the most optimal solution for customers, to encourage repeat business.
• Perform on-site visits with manufacturing partners to communicate technical specifications, ensuring project quality and on-time delivery.
• Assist in R&D activities to enhance system intelligence via technical validation and data contributions.
