Description

BeeX is building the SpaceX / Tesla equivalent of the underwater world. They manufacture Hovering Autonomous Underwater Vehicles and pairs them with intelligent software tools.

These vehicles help protect critical marine infrastructure, including clean energy from Offshore Wind, coastal protection efforts and maritime assets like vessels, ports and aquaculture farms.

Project role: Robotics Software Engineer (Hovering Autonomous Underwater Vehicles)

BeeX's flagship A.IKANBILIS HAUV, has worked in challenging conditions alongside forward-thinking service providers; providing insights on the condition of near-shore assets at unprecedented speed and quality. BeeX is actively engaging with customers to build a better and bigger variant for harsher conditions in Offshore Wind. As a Robotics Software Engineer, the Trainee's daily schedule will include frequent interactions with their Electrical and Software colleagues on cross disciplinary decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop perception and fusion algorithms utilising sensors such as camera, stereo camera and Sonar/Multibeam.
  2. Perform data association on detected objects for localisation with tracking.
  3. Develop deep learning based models for the tracking and detection of targets for advanced maneuvers and intervention.
  4. Development autonomous mission planning software that is mission critical and safe for operations.
  5. Develop middleware drivers to link hardware to the robotics software stack.
  6. Integration of robotics stack with the software architecture.
  7. Test and debug of robotics algorithms in software in the loop simulation.
