Waffle Technologies is working to push the boundaries of how data and technology are being used in offline commerce. The team supports local offline businesses with their daily business operations so that they can focus on delivering the best customer experience.

Their Engineering Team works on problems such as building an offline-first network of applications and supporting a wide range of hardware device integrations.

Project role: Full-Stack Engineer (Mobile application, Point-of-sale)

The Trainee will implement and maintain a smooth offline payment flow with payment providers like Stripe. They will also implement and maintain communication protocols between multiple devices on the LAN and maintain a robust offline mode flow for the point-of-sale application.

The Trainee will also write and conduct robust automated tests to minimise customer downtime. Responsibilities will also include maintaining and refactoring the existing application to maintain a high developer velocity for new features. If required, the Trainee will also be involved in implementing new back-end endpoints.
