"Phaos" is the Greek word for “Light". Phaos Technology is an advanced optics technology startup based in Singapore. Phaos Technology believes that optical-related technology is the key to improving the future. Hence the company focuses on research and development of advanced optical-related technologies and making them accessible to the mass market. 

The company uses advanced technology to make nanoscopic at a fraction of the cost of expensive microscopes. 

Phaos Technology’s microsphere-assisted technology, used in our OptoNano product range, uses a microsphere to upgrade the magnification of microscopes by up to 4X using miniature glass spheres, in a cost-efficient way. Using this patented technology, microscopes can be easily turned into nanoscopes by including these microspheres into the existing microscopes. This significantly increases the magnification of the objects that the microscopes are looking at, at an affordable price. 

Over the years, the company has evolved into a microscopy company that carries microscopy for super-resolution to microscopy for metrology purposes. Phaos Technology is also working on automating the system, including IoT, AI, and remote access through AR/VR.

Project role: Front-End Development Engineer

Phaos Technology is looking for a front-end developer responsible for designing and developing User Interface in Windows Forms and WPF framework (C#), or MFC(C++), or HTML, CSS, JavaScript (Web Development). 

The Trainee will design and develop the required User Interface, and coordinate with the back-end software engineer to provide the solution for the connection of back-end and front-end. They will also maintain and continuously optimise User Interface, improve user experience and work efficiently. 

The Trainee will be a quick learner, able to think and work independently or with contractors and team members. They will also be sensitive about dealing with documents and confidential information. 

The Trainee will work directly with the product head, assisting in managing the software design and development of all the product developed by the company or the company's contract manufacturer.
