Microtube Technologies develops smart wearables by weaving patented threadlike sensors into fabrics. The patented soft microfiber sensor is extremely thin and stretchable. It can be woven easily into fabrics to measure minute changes in strain, forces and pressure. The smart wearables are developed for many applications, some examples are gaming, healthcare training, IoT, as well as robotic control.
This project focuses on creating a novel wearable and corresponding mobile app for automated strength-training analysis for static workouts. By using the solution, the company seeks to overcome ambiguity in strength and endurance workouts with objective quantification of muscle efforts, as well as creating motivational content through gamification and in-depth fitness profiling of the user.
The talent will work with the product design team to improve the current UI/UX designs of the strength-training wearable. This includes storyboarding how users interact with different interfaces such as the wearable product and the mobile app platform, improving existing UI/UX, UI graphics and animation aspect of the app.
