Medios technology has already prevented blindness in 7 million patients in 20+ countries; from rural screening programs in places such as India and Gambia, to primary care screening in Walmarts.
However, dealing with this scale requires medical devices to have a powerful back-end. The company’s back-end + web platform is responsible for holding all their devices together.
Their platform powers medical devices by providing authentication, data management (both health and user data), and custom workflow integrations with hospitals and clinics. It also provides diagnosis and tele-health capabilities. It is part of the data pipeline to use collected data to generate health insights and to build Machine Learning algorithms that can aid in clinical diagnosis, assess patient risks, and provide last-mile healthcare delivery. Extra attention is paid to ensure privacy and security of patient healthcare data.
Medios is hiring to improve their platform to support additional features on their medical devices, integrate newer medical devices, and to improve the data pipelines for further data engineering and analysis. They are also hiring to assist the migration of their backend from multiple legacy systems to a single new system.
