AiTreat is a robotic company researching and developing a non-invasive physical therapy robotic platform for pain treatment. By fusing state-of-art robot technologies and domain knowledge from well-established therapists, we have created EMMA to bring new forms of treatment to society, helping to improve and democratise pain management treatment. We are continuously tackling technical challenges while addressing the practical business needs in the application domain. To date, 13 EMMA robots are serving in 8 clinics in Singapore, and have provided more than 20,000 treatments; several EMMA robots are under trial by customers in Singapore and overseas.
Project: Flexible Robot Arm Control System
You will be tasked to join the development of robot arm control applications for EMMA.
In order to ensure the wide application of EMMA on a variety of patient conditions and patients with different body types. The robot arm control algorithms must be flexible while providing consistent treatment. The Trainee will be tasked to explore the state-of-art robot arm control plan and execution algorithms. Besides, new treatment movements will be developed.
This project provides the opportunity to work on the emerging field in robotics -- flexible plan and execution, which is beyond the current robot applications in industrial automation. The skills developed during the on-the-job training could equip you with a competitive skill set for any future jobs in the field of robotics.
Project: Robot Vision and Sensor Fusion
During the on-the-job training, the Trainee will be tasked to join the development of robot vision algorithms to further enhance the treatment provided by EMMA.
Specifically, the project is aiming to utilize depth and RGB images from vision sensors, and combine it with additional sensor data collected during the treatment, to better recognize body anatomy of the patient.
This project is algorithm driven and provides Trainees with opportunities to develop state-of-art algorithms in computer vision.
Project: Robot IOT Solution
EMMA is the core product of the company that is equipped with state-of-the-art technologies including compliance force control, computer vision, and robot arm manipulation. It helps physicians and therapists with automated physiotherapy treatments. During the on-the-job training, the trainee will be tasked to develop a IOT system for remote management of EMMA robots. The IOT system includes robot parameter monitoring, remote command, and remote deployment. The collected robot parameters will be thereafter displayed in the monitoring dashboard. During the project, the trainee will be able to gain hand-on practice on end-to-end robot IOT solution development.
