SpeQtral are commercialising quantum communications to prepare the world for the quantum future, think quantum space lasers, entanglement and military-level secure communications. As part of our mission to transform the world's networks, we plan to launch a constellation of satellites to enable worldwide entanglement distribution. The earliest application of this is a highly secure delivery of encryption keys to facilitate secret communications.
Project: Cyber hardening of networks of quantum key distribution satellites and ground stations
Current cryptographic encryption schemes are threatened by developing advanced computing platforms, including quantum computers. To mitigate such threats, a new type of cryptographic key distribution, quantum key distribution (QKD), has been developed and is now approaching technological readiness. SpeQtral provides quantum key distribution solutions and is developing satellites to ground QKD.
Project: Development of cryptographic key management system for quantum key distribution networks
Quantum key distribution (QKD) creates symmetric encryption keys shared between two separated users. To expand the system's functionality, a key management network is required to connect individual pairs of QKD users into a network.
This project will develop and implement a symmetric key management systems (KMS) for storing and routing quantum secure cryptographic keys generated by quantum key distribution (QKD) across networks, including satellites and ground station nodes.
