Overview

This 6-month course has been designed by industry experts to provide all the knowledge and skills of Cloud Infrastructure Engineering, to enable graduates to excel in a career in this exciting and highly in-demand field. You will gain essential hands-on experience and learn the basic concepts to be an effective Infrastructure and Cloud Engineer by acquiring the fundamentals of infrastructure knowledge to provision and maintain complex production environments, verify sound cloud architectural design and ensure the production environments are resilient, reliable, secure, and of operational excellence.

Course Description & Learning Outcomes

IT Infrastructure Essentials

  • Understand basic IT principles, including hardware, operating systems, networking, and communication protocols.

  • Learn foundational concepts in IT infrastructure, including virtualization and application processes.

Cloud Technologies Essentials and Architectural Design

  • Gain knowledge of cloud computing and architectural design to support solution deployment and scaling.

  • Learn to design, provision, troubleshoot, and monitor cloud products for IT professionals.

  • Prepare for cloud certification through hands-on experience.

DevSecOps Essentials & System Monitoring

  • Acquire skills to implement DevSecOps in agile software deployment environments.

  • Understand microservices architecture and strategies for system monitoring in distributed systems.

Mr Luqman Tajuddin, Trainer, Academy for Professional and Continuing Education (NTU PACE)
Mr Luqman Tajuddin

Luqman is an experienced engineer and possesses advanced knowledge of AWS, GCP, cloud migration, containerization, Kubernetes, Spark, Terraform, DevOps, Java, Python, JavaScript, shell script, PHP Laravel, New Relic, PostgreSQL, Terraform, Vault, DynamoDB and MongoDB. He has built his career in engineering, working as an exchange PlatformOps engineer at Bullish, a crypto exchange for institutional investors, specialising in platform infrastructure, DevOps and TechOps engineering. He is also a career mentor under Generation Singapore’s Cloud Support & DevOps Programme for Singaporeans making mid-career switches into the Cloud and DevOps track. Luqman holds a Bachelor of Information Systems degree with a 2nd Major in Banking Processes and Technology.

Mr Delfrinando Pranata, Trainer, Academy for Professional and Continuing Education (NTU PACE)
Mr Delfrinando Pranata

Del is an experienced Software Engineer, with advanced knowledge of JavaScript TypeScript, Node.js, PHP Lumen Framework, microservices architecture, AWS cloud technologies, databases, cloud optimization, cloud performance, MySQL, Redis, ElasticSearch, RabbitMQ, DynamoDB, Terraform and CloudFormation. He has a strong track record in SEEK (previously) optimising email alerts sent to 22M users on the cloud platform, and has taught in SGUS Software Development Immersive Programme with NTU. Del co-developed the Cloud Infrastructure and Software Engineering curriculum, leveraging on his expertise in backend software development and cloud space. Del holds a Bachelor in Computer Engineering degree and is currently an instructor with Skills Union Pte Ltd.

Mr Jesstern Rays

Jesstern is an engineering leader and agile practitioner with a decade of experience as a Staff Software Engineer. He has a proven track record of driving digital transformation for organisations in the financial, oil and gas, and real estate sectors. He possesses deep technical expertise in cloud infrastructure, the modernisation of legacy monoliths into microservice architectures, and the optimisation of CI/CD pipelines. Also, he is a dedicated educator who has led software development training at Thoughtworks and General Assembly. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science.
