Dr. Mayank Gurnani, Deputy Director, Tech-Biz Development (Venture Creation & Growth), A*STAR
Dr. Mayank Gurnani

Mayank is a seasoned healthcare innovation and investment professional with over two decades of experience driving innovation to address unmet needs. At A*STAR, Mayank accelerates venture creation and growth in the health and biomedical area. In addition, he develops new programmes and initiatives that seek capital/talent/market access and adoption of ventures in new markets. Prior to joining A*STAR, Dr. Gurnani was Programme Director for the JUMPstart programme at the National University of Singapore. In addition, he was Faculty for various innovation and commercialization programmes providing mentorship and coaching new venture founders. Apart from his medical education, Dr Gurnani holds an MBA and a Masters in Health Economics.

Justin Phoon

Justin Phoon brings nearly two decades of experience in MedTech innovation, commercialisation, and ecosystem building across both the public and private sectors. At MedTech Catapult, he leads national efforts to scale promising medical technologies through strategic partnerships, hands-on product development support, and connections to local manufacturing expertise. He has held regional leadership roles at Medtronic, Zimmer, and Integer, and has worked closely with startups, researchers, and investors to drive the adoption of technologies in orthopaedics, neuromodulation, and rehabilitation. Passionate about translating ideas into impact, Justin is committed to helping founders navigate the complex journey from concept to clinic

Jeremiah Decosta, Vice President Operations, MiRXES
Jeremiah Decosta

Jeremiah Decosta is a biotech operations leader with 15+ years of experience in diagnostics manufacturing, supply chain management, and regulatory execution. As VP of Operations at MiRXES, he has scaled the company’s infrastructure across manufacturing, clinical operations, regulatory affairs, and quality systems. He led the global rollout of Fortitude COVID-19 diagnostic kits, ensuring ISO 13485 compliance and distribution to over 40 countries. He has successfully overseen product registrations with HSA, U.S. FDA, and CE-IVD. Jeremiah manages a team of over 50 professionals and has driven improvements in procurement, manufacturing efficiency, and global supply chain resilience. Prior to MiRXES, he held senior roles at APTA Biosciences, Vela Diagnostics, and Illumina, focusing on technology transfer and quality systems. He brings a pragmatic, execution-focused approach to building scalable, compliant healthcare operations that support innovation and commercialisation.

Abel Teo, CEO & Co-Founder, Castomize
Abel Teo

Abel Teo is the CEO and co-founder of Castomize Technologies. Throughout the course of building Castomize for two years, he has brought the team to achieve various awards, such as the ASEAN outstanding engineering achievement award, and being listed the Forbes' 30 Under 30 for healthcare and science. Prior to Castomize, Abel was a business development manager at a software development company.

Low Sheng, Adriel, Deputy Chief Operating Officer, Fu Yu Corporation
Low Sheng, Adriel

Adriel Low assumed the role of Deputy Chief Operating Officer in February 2023, playing a pivotal role in supporting the Chief Operating Officer in the oversight of the organization's internal operations. Before joining Fu Yu Corporation, Adriel held key positions at Citigroup Inc, United Overseas Bank, and Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation. His most recent capacity was as Executive Director at OCBC Bank where he spearheaded global balance sheet strategy across multiple regions, covering operations in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, China, Hong Kong SAR, New York, London, Tokyo, and Sydney. Adriel graduated summa cum laude from the University of Michigan, earning a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, with a major in Industrial and Operations Engineering and a minor in Mathematics. He has also recently completed his MBA at INSEAD, graduating with a Distinction.
