Overview

The Certified Chief Information Security Officer (C|CISO) training, spearheaded by EC-Council, focuses on the most critical competencies required to develop and maintain a successful information security portfolio. The C|CISO training curriculum — developed by seasoned CISOs for current and aspiring CISOs — takes an executive management viewpoint that incorporates both information security management principles and general technical knowledge.

CISOs and other cybersecurity executives need deep experience to fulfil the expectations of the C-suite leadership role. The C|CISO training includes extensive real-world examples and input from current CISOs around the world. The program teaches students how to develop security portfolios for companies in various industries, create and use metrics to communicate risk to all levels within an organization, and align security services with business goals.

This course is designed for intermediate learners from a wide range of industries who want to advance their capabilities in the information security (cybersecurity) area.

Course Description & Learning Outcomes

The C|CISO Exam Preparation Course covers the following topics:

  • General Examination Information

    ○ Domain 1: Governance, Risk and Compliance

    ○ Domain 2: Information Security Controls and Audit Management

    ○ Domain 3: Security Program Management & Operations

    ○ Domain 4: Information Security Core Competencies

    ○ Domain 5: Strategic Planning, Finance, and Third-Party Management

  • Examination Practice

By completing this course, the following Learning Outcomes (LO) will be achieved:

  • LO1: Identify information security risks, threats and vulnerabilities in organisations

  • LO2: Analyse information security controls and their business impact

  • LO3: Design and plan information security program or guidelines in alignment with security objectives and gaps, and technological or regulatory changes

  • LO4: Recommend adoption of information security and assurance architectures activities

  • LO5: Monitor and analyse and the information security performance against standards
