Overview
This session provides a high-level overview of the modern evolution of Artificial Intelligence (AI), from early large language models to multimodal AI and emerging AI agents. It also considers how organisations are moving beyond experimentation towards the practical use of AI within business workflows.
The session highlights selected examples of how AI is influencing cybersecurity, including security operations, incident analysis, automation and cyber-risk management. It considers how AI can support faster analysis, prioritisation and reporting, while also addressing its limitations, dual-use nature and the continued importance of human validation.
The concluding segment introduces ISO/IEC 42001 and the Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS) as a structured approach to responsible AI governance. It provides an overview of key governance considerations, including accountability, AI risk and impact assessment, monitoring and human oversight, to support secure and responsible AI adoption.
