Melanie Wu, Educations Program Producer, General Assembly
Melanie is currently the Education Programs Producer at GA Singapore. Prior to joining the GA family, she was a secondary school visual arts teacher with the Ministry of Education (MOE) for 4 years. She is passionate about learning and teaching and believes that education should be accessible for everyone. She graduated with a Bachelor of Education from York University and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) specialising in Arts Management from the University of Toronto.
Sonia Gupta, Managing Director, Accenture
Sonia is a seasoned strategist and collaborative leader with 20 years of experience across industries globally and known for her relentless focus on innovation & a strong bias for action. She has a distinctive ability to see patterns and drive out-of-the-box thinking using structured and lateral thinking and use deep skills in facilitation and an ability to influence decision making and develop trust-based executive relationships. She is also a strong people developer known for building cohesive teams with an open and trusting culture.
In her role as Managing Director, Sonia works closely with the C-suite and Boards of companies across industries to frame, design and deliver strategic transformation projects targeted at furthering the change agenda. She has worked with clients across the globe and is conversant the nuances of culture and leadership and its impact on decision making. Sonia specialises in the areas of corporate strategy, sales and marketing strategy, leadership and innovation.
Sonia spent the first several years of her career in Consumer Goods and Retail Industry. Through her consulting career she has worked across a range of many industries including – consumer goods, government ministries and bodies, mining and industrial products, technology, financial services, telecommunications, healthcare and retail. Prior to Accenture, Sonia lead the CRM service line for a large consulting services organization in Hong Kong. Sonia is passionate about social change and supports organisations focused on education, enabling elders live with dignity and organisations that improve the lives of those less fortunate. She works closely with Acumen and other social impact ventures in APAC
Tanguy Fournier Le Ray, Regional Managing Director and Co-founder, Palo IT Australia & Singapore
Tanguy is an entrepreneur with a passion for technology and innovation. He started his career in London and the Middle East, then in Singapore for 10 years before recently relocating to Sydney. He is the co-founder of PALO IT Australia in 2017 and PALO IT Singapore in 2012 and is also a proud investor in the FinTech start-up Acuo.
Tanguy has a strong track record of building successful technology and consulting firms from ground-up and advising large organisations in their digital transformations. Having a positive impact on the world is at the heart of his role at PALO IT. His favourite PALO IT values are “We Care” and “We choose positivity and self-improvement”.
Tanguy is a servant leader who empowers his teams and always encourages them to take ownership and try new things. He believes in diversity and building an ecosystem where everyone can thrive in a safe environment.
Robert Gilby, CEO, Blue Hat Ventures
For more than 2 decades, Robert has been a leader in the Consumer & Media Tech sectors in Asia Pacific.
As CEO of Blue Hat Ventures, he helps high growth businesses in Asia Pacific transform & accelerate, build actionable strategies to launch products & consumer experiences, increase monetization, expand into new markets, and realign organizations with future trends.
Robert spent 12 years as a Managing Director at Disney, mastering multi-market expansion, incredible consumer experiences, branding & marketing, and the power of creativity, storytelling & design. Before that, he spent 14 years with global leaders WarnerMedia (Turner Broadcasting) and PwC.
He strongly believes that Talent, Technology and Creativity can come together to create significant commercial value by delivering amazing Consumer Experiences. Throughout his career, I’ve led teams who share this mission. For the last 4 years, he has been a board member and actively engages with the InfoComm Media Development Authority (IMDA) in supporting the digital transformation of the InfoComm & Media sector.
Robert is currently Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Singapore Media Festival (SMF) which includes The Singapore International Film Festival, Asian Television Forum market and the Asian Academy Creative Awards.
Rosaline Chow Koo, Founder & CEO, CXA
Rosaline invested $5M of her savings and borrowed another $5M to build CXA after 5 years trying to convince her NYC-HQ MNC to invest in Asia. Now, CXA has 400k users across 20 countries in Asia and was valued at more than $100m in 2017. CXA has been awarded Insurtech of the Year, Top CEO, Woman Leader of the Year, Global Innovations in Healthcare, Asian Human Capital Award, Asian Insurance Innovations and HR Vendor of the Year for Corp Wellness and Comp & Benefits.
Prior to this, Rosaline supervised Procter & Gamble factory lines in Iowa and then worked at Bankers Trust on Wall Street. She launched two dot-com start-ups before moving to ACE insurance. Rosaline also grew Mercer Marsh Benefits' 14 APAC countries 800% over 8 years. She graduated from UCLA Cybernetics and Columbia Business School.
